Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data olurabian.com collects, why it is collected, and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this site is ARABA (Oluwasegun Araba), operating from the United Kingdom. For any privacy question or request, contact araba@olurabian.com.
What is collected
The site is deliberately low on data collection. Personal data is collected only when you choose to give it:
- Memory Audit form. Your email address, and an optional one line describing what you run. You submit this yourself by requesting an audit.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, the hosting platform may process standard server logs (for example IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and running. This is not used to profile you.
The site does not use advertising trackers, and it does not set marketing or analytics cookies.
Why it is collected, and the legal basis
Your email and note are used to respond to your Memory Audit request and to follow up about it. With your agreement, given when you submit the form, I may also send you the occasional related update or note. The legal basis is your consent, and my legitimate interest in replying to a request you started. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by emailing the address above. I do not sell your details, and I do not share them for anyone else's marketing.
Who processes it
Form submissions are handled by Resend, an email service provider acting as a data processor on my behalf. The site is hosted by Vercel. These providers process data only to deliver the service and under their own security and privacy commitments. Some of this processing happens on servers outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that is the case, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another safeguard approved under UK data protection law.
How long it is kept
Your details are kept only as long as needed to handle your audit and any related follow up. As a rule, if a request does not turn into an ongoing conversation, your details are removed within about 24 months. If you ask to be removed sooner, your data is deleted promptly.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to how it is used
- receive your data in a portable form
- withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these, email araba@olurabian.com. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is meant for professional and business users. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
